Process
- Spiral Studios can be the first point of contact for your project, or can become involved as part of a design/build team.
- At our initial consultation, we meet at your home or site to discuss desired work scope, budget, timeline, and project goals.
- A design proposal is given for the project based on the information gathered at our initial visit. Design services are charged hourly. An estimated range of hours required for your project will be included in the proposal.
- Schematic design begins. This can take anywhere from 3-12 weeks, and sometimes longer depending on the size and complexity of the project. This includes review meetings, edits to the design, and honing in on the details.
- As we work to finalize plans, we begin material and finish selections which can include: plumbing and lighting fixtures, hardware, color, tile design, flooring, cabinetry, and countertops.
- Spiral Studios can permit your project with the county or city.
- Spiral Studios works closely with the contractor during the build phase to ensure smooth implementation of the design, including coordinating with sub-contractors when necessary.
