This sweet a frame was purchased by our clients from the original builders. And while it had been lovingly built in a mortise and tenon style not often seen anymore, the finishes and flow needed a boost. Removing a central wall column in the middle of the previous kitchen, opened up the spaces onto one another, creating better sitelines and bringing in more natural light throughout the main level. The finishes were chosen to fit in with the organic wabisabi feeling of the home but also contrasts some of the rusticity with clean lined and modern touches that allow the house to function optimally for its residents.
