Wallpaper. Have you ever tried to get rid of it? Hours, days of tedious peeling, steaming, and scraping. Often the best way of making it disappear is just texturing and painting over it. But now wall paper is making a new appearance with updated graphics that are both fun and refreshing with bold graphic patterns, subtle textures, and cheering colors. So if you're still plagued by red velvet damask paper, the best way of hiding it, could be to wallpaper over it!
Places I love wallpaper are the unexpected, like closets or laundry rooms. Also so good in powder rooms, kids' rooms, and as an accent wall in den's or offices. A few wallpaper companies i've worked with recently, and have loved their papers are: 1. Loboloup Their Meadow paper is pictured above, and there are so many other great ones. 2. Aimee Wilder So many of Aimee's patterns are so perfect for kid's rooms. 3. Wall & Deco Their Pavot paper (below) is stunning. This sweet shingled home nestled in the cedars trees was in need of some better storage, counter prepping space, and a dose of charm. Relocating the stove to the same wall as the sink allowed for a larger counter space on the opposite wall. More drawer space creates more efficient storage and utilizing the nooks and crannies made the most out of a small space. Finishes include Fir cabinets with butcher block and quartz counters, subway tile, with special tiles made by the client's brother. before...after.... |
